We are running Domino 6.0 on Linux 7, and we are always getting the error message below on the server console:
Error: Insufficient TCPIP sockets are available. Consult your vendors TCPIP documentation to increase the maximum number of sockets.
Listener task for port TCPIP is suspending for 20 seconds due to listen error.
Also note that this error occurs several times in a day and each time it occurs, we cannot connect to the server from lotus notes clients neither can we send mails. Trying to connect to the server during this error brings the message that server is not responding.
I have observed that this problem tends to occur more often when a large mail is sent, i.e. when a mail is sent to all staff in the directory or to a large number of people.
Please how can we resolve this problem?
