If yes, could you please tell me how and when they are stored?

Chat logging in Sametime 3.1, 6.5.1 and 7.0 is intended to be a “proof of concept” to demonstrate that the Sametime API Toolkit can log chats between users. There are three possible options for chat logging: Using the sample DLL is provided in the Sametime API Toolkit for basic logging, for deployment purposes, a customer may utilize a third party logging application, or a customer can develop their own using the Sametime API Toolkit.
