When I want to go to File - Location Preferences…it looks grey (disabled)…fyi, when I first start Lotus Notes there is also message : Object variable not set…

Check you notes.ini file and see if there is an IM_Disable=1 and/or IM_NO_SETUP=1
If so remove those lines.

Stephen,I have checked, there is no line like this…Maybe it’s related to something bigger, because now my File - Location Preferences become grey…and I cannot choose locations except Office
I have tried to remove Lotus Notes instalation after backup all /data folder. Then reinstall, then copy DirCat.nsf from the server…but it still doesn’t work and Location Preferences still grey…

Hi,I just fixed this by copy my DC.nsf first…A message appeared to replace the design of the file…I replaced it with pernames.ntf…Close the Lotus Notes…then locations can be choosen : Office, Home, Island, etc…Location Preferences can be choosen again…I hope Instant Messaging can be choosen also…
