we have blackberrys with AT&T and we are paying for the BES server plan with them. is it possible to get email instantly forwarded to a blackberry device WITHOUT setting up a BES? or do we have to set up a BES? I’ve heard of blackberry desktop redirect, but when I run the blackberry desktop manager (4.7) software, it asks me to log in to our BES (which we dont’ have yet), so I hit “Cancel,” and then “Email Settings” is greyed out.

set up a username@att.blackberry.net address and create a forwarding rule in your notes mailbox.

You can pull mail from ATT BIS web interface via pop3 or IMAP
