Installshield Multiuser GPO

I need help!

I am trying to create a installation package to install the 6.5.4 mulituser client through AD and Group Policys. The computers reciveing this install have no previous Notes install, and are all XP SP2.

I have used InstallShieldTuner to create a transformfile to go with my MSI file. But I´m not confident what parameters to change for the multiuser install. I have also created a response file to go along with the other files for choosing multiuser and having a silent install.

Everything works fine when running the files manually, but when deploying the install via group policys we are missing templates and other files.

So now I have a few questions:

  1. Is it possible to create a totally silent install with the multiuser option just with a mst (Transform file)? Or is the responsefile also needed?

  2. Exactly what parameters must be changed in the mst file to get the default multiuser install.

  3. Maybe this is a permission problem, are theres some basic settings that could cause this problem with missing files?

Thanx

Subject: Installshield Multiuser GPO

IMHO it’s impassible, but i do this:add in .mst file MUI installation type and, after install with .mst

move files from %HOMEDRIVE%\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Lotus\Notes\Data\Shared*.*

to %HOMEDRIVE%\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Lotus\Notes\Data\Shared\mui\ru*.*

(in russian client case)

ps: see windows registry

“HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Lotus\Notes\Installer” “MUIMULTIUSER_VDIR_SHARED” parameter
