Hi,
At the end of install dialog (when update starts) this message appears:
… Couldn’t find strings.res in /opt/ibm/domino - will attempt to use default
I’ve done this to determine LANG:
[root@zeus2 domino]# echo $LANG en_US.UTF-8
The res directory of program path looks as this:
[root@zeus2 res]# pwd /opt/ibm/domino/notes/90010/linux/res [root@zeus2 res]# ll total 12 drwxr-xr-x. 2 root root 4096 Sep 7 16:46 C drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Sep 8 09:49 en_US.UTF-8
I’ve done this on 4 other servers without any problems. They had in some cases only the C directory in res.
What can i do ?
Thanks
Uwe

Subject: Missing language directory
Steps to resolve:
echo $LANG (resulted in my local settings - en_ZA)
find / -name strings.res (/opt/ibm/domino/notes/90010/linux/res/C/strings.res)
Note no local language directory !
Copied /opt/ibm/domino/notes/90010/linux/res/C/. to /opt/ibm/domino/notes/90010/linux/res/C/en_ZA/
Installation settings:
Program directory : /opt/ibm/domino
Data directory : /local/notesdata

Hello Uwe!
Maybe this TN can help you:

Subject: Reason: faulty .install.dat
This file resists in /opt/ibm/domino
It contains among other thinks installation path.
In my case this was wrong and fixpack installation uses this information.
