Installing Domino Server 702 on SUSE 10.1

Does anyone have complete or know where I can find detail instruction on how to install Domino 702 in SUSE 10? I’m new to SUSE.

Subject: Installing Domino Server 702 on SUSE 10.1

The instructions that are in the readme take you through it. Unlike previous version nothing special needs to be done after the install.create the notes user and the notes group

switch to root and run the install.

Before you start the Domino server, you may want to double check a few things. These are needed but help with addons.

Also, add the following line to /etc/ld.so.conf:

/opt/lotus/notes/latest/linux

You will also need to edit the .profile file for the notes user(under /home/notes)

and add the following lines:

export LOTUS=/opt/lotus

export NOTES_DATA_DIR=/local/notesdata

export Notes_ExecDirectory=$LOTUS/notes/latest/linux

export PATH=$PATH:$NOTES_DATA_DIR:$Notes_ExecDirectory:$Notes_ExecDirectory/res/

Do notes that addons may not work, I haven’t been able to install LEI under SUSE 10.1 or 10.2

Bruce, I just wanted to say Thank you! for the information you posted to this question. I have installed Domino 7.0.2 on SLES 10 and it was truly painless.I have not tried to work in any add-ons yet, but the server is really solid.

Hello, I have been install Domino 7 on SuSE 10.1 (desktop :slight_smile: ) and it’s working fine. But I have to ask : How can I remove Domino from SuSE (full remove of whole Domino staff)?
