Hi,We need to configure a 7.0.3 server for backward compatibility reason, and add it to a cluster that is currently running two 8.5 servers. I would like to know if I should expect any coexistence issues with the other servers, the new server will have the common tasks enabled such as router, smtp, http, cluster replication, etc. Any assistance is appreciated.

Clustered Servers
-
Upgrading your clustered servers at different times is supported, so you can have a mixed 6.5.x and 8.x cluster during the coexistence period of your project.
-
Keep in mind however that the cluster replication task will not restrict the replication of any design elements. The Domino Directory 8 design is backward compatible with Notes and Domino 6.5.x. Other databases may, however, cause issues on earlier Domino servers and Notes clients.
-
If you want to keep design elements at the same version as the server, do not put Domino 6.5.x or 7.0 in the same cluster with Domino 8 servers.

I didn’t think you could mix Domino versions within a cluster. OS yes, Domino No.
