Installation error for LN 8.5beta2 on Windows XP

Hi people!I’m trying to install clients (notes85_designadmin_windows_beta2_prod.exe) on WindowsXP SP2 and permanently got error and my installation breaks.

  1. LN unpacks into c:\Lotus Notes successfully

  2. Then Lotus Notes 8.5.msi starts and crashs with info:

"Lotus Notes 8.5 Installer Information

Error 1305.Error reading from c:\Temp\Lotus Notes\Lotus Notes 8.5.msi.Verify that the file exists and that you can access it."

I work under Administrator access on this mashine and there is no problem with access obviously.

I’ve tried to unpack the .exe file into other place and I got another error:

“Internal error 2203 c:\windows\installer\15b5ca4.ipi, -2147287035”

There is no way to surpress these errors and continue the installation process.

I’ll be very grateful for any advice!

Subject: How to resolve this problem

To avoid this error message it is enought to give SYSTEM role rwx right access to %PATH% folder.1) right click on %path% folder (c:\Temp for example) and choose security

  1. Security tab

  2. add SYSTEM group and give to it full access rights.
