Hi,
I currently have 7.0.3 installed on my computer. I downloaded two install packages from website Notes 8.5, Designer 8.5. I started Notes 8.5 install program it goes through extraction and than comes back saying “Cannot Upgrade AllClient Installation to Notes Client. The upgrade you are attempting is not supported” … it gives me OK button upon clicking install exits.
can anyone please help me.

If you had previously installed Domino Designer as your client, then you need to install the Domino Designer 8.5.1. Similarly if you had previously install the Notes client (not Domino Designer), then you would need to upgrade to the Notes 8.5.1 client.
Designer > Designer
Notes > Notes
Can’t upgrade across client types.

You are correct…I do have ALLClient installation. So you are saying that I need to uninstall Lotus Notes only from my current installed clients (ie. Notes, Designer & Admin) and than install Lotus Notes 8.5?
is that correct? will that carry my license? cause I downloaded 8.5 from partnerworld site. I am IBM BP

What you called Designer 8.5? Sounds like you have an existing All Client Installation (Notes, Desginer, Admin) … Your other option would be to uninstall the current Notes Client and then install the Notes Client Only build and make sure it points to the same Program and Data Directory as previous install.
