Inserting values into a richtext item (web based application)

HiI’m developing a browser based application, in which i need to maintain the history of comments with User and Date Time stamp. The comments should be listed in reverse chronological order ( recent comments, on top).

What is the best way to accomplish this task?

(Because of the size limitations, i can’t make Comments History field of type Text, it should be RichText).
