Input Enabled with Calendar/Time Control Fields doesn't work consistently

I have a form with several fields on it controlled by Input enabled formualas. Some of those fields are Time fields set with Style type of Calendar/Time Control.

For someone who should not be able to edit these fields, whether you can or not seems to depend on how you open the document.

If I open the document from the view straight to edit mode (Ctrl-E), the fields work as expected: I can’t edit them

If I open the document in read mode, and the switch to edit mode, I can edit them and save changes.

That’s not right, surely?

Subject: Control edit access to some fields

That’s not the right way to handle this.Move these fields into a Controlled Access Section and input a proper computed formula that evaluates to names or roles in it.
