iNotes60.ntf not retaining design

I had 6.01 CF2 running with iNotes clients using the iNotes60.ntf. I upgraded the server to 6.0.3. After the first night, the template has changed and now the iNotes users have an extra column and cannot save their sort order (preference is not retained after loging out). I replaced the iNotes60.ntf from before the upgrade, replace the design on the database and everything is fine… until the next day. The iNotes60.ntf inherits design from mail50ex.ntf and forms5.nsf - i’ve replaced those file and fix the database… until the next day.

I’m a bit new to Domino … so what’s running at night that replaces my template design? on the database, on the template? Nothing I try during the day (updall,compact) “breaks” the database desing… but it does at night.

Any help or insight would be helpful :slight_smile:

I’ve been searching and reading technotes… but I need some real help.

Subject: iNotes60.ntf not retaining design

By default, the server will run the Design task at 01:00. This is probably what is resetting the design of the template and/or the databases. Check the log at 01:00 and you should see messages relating to deisng running. To prevent design from running, you need to open notes.ini (typically this can be found in the same folder as the executables i.e. x:\Lotus\Domino) and remove Design from the SerevrTasksAt1 lineHTH

The inotes60.ntf file doesn’t play well on Domino 6.0.3

That issue you see if one I’ve spotted and it is fixed if you upgrade the design to the inotes6.ntf file.
