I’ve been experiencing a number of problems with synchronization of the iNotes mail file and would appreciate any feedback towards these issues:
When editing the off-line configuration document a uidoc.save is called in the PostOpen event. This results in changes being made to the profile regardless of forcing a save or cancelling out of the document. Is this save absolutely necessary?
As a result of this save, if you attempt a sync with the local client a pop-up message appears informing you that ‘The Administrator has modified settings for this subscription, customized settings will be overwritten.’ This causes a number of problems as the sync will not continue until you click on OK.
As we are currently setting up a large number of accounts, and various errors in the initial set-up and download force us to make changes to the profile document, you can imagine this has become quite time consuming. Is it possible to prevent the pop-up message from appearing so that changes are automatically download ? I know that the message is a direct result of checking the box ‘Push subscription settings to iNotes Sync Manager’ but is there anyway to prevent the pop-up message ?
Also we appear to get a large number Initialization Failures in the Sync Manager of Accounts that have already been set-up. The sync manager currently contains 2 subscriptions; each subscription contains a mail file and 1 other additional database. The total subscription size is around 80MB. The subscriptions are pulled down over a 64KB ISDN line. The failure always seems to occur to the second subscription in Sync Manager (i.e. the bottom one) Could this be to do with the scheduling of the sync ? Or is there some other reason behind this ?
Thanks in Advance
Neil
