iNotes: Sent Items showing as unread

Email sent from iNotes appear in the “Sent Folder” marked as unread (in red)

i would like to add more details about this issue:

  • the issue arises also on standalone servers (not only on clusters environments)

  • on a Domino 8.5.1 FP1 (Windows 32) the issue arises always after some weeks from the start-up (in the start everything works fine)

  • when the issue arises, to solve it, it’s needed a restart of the Domino server (the restart only of the http task is not enough)

  • when the issue is present, every email sent from iNotes is marked unread, except the ones with an attachment (in my opinion, it’s something related to the cache of the Domino server and the size of the email)

  • i’ve seen the issue using:

→ the full and the lite mode of iNotes

→ IE and Firefox as browser

so the issue is completely server related

  • i’ve seen this issue also on 8.5.1 FP1/64 on Aix platforms

It’s very boring for the iNotes users and we have complaints for this issue
