iNotes - popup windows / language pack

We are only working with iNotes. The new interface looks fine, but I have two questions about the new design:

  1. If you get a new mail the popup doesn´t come to the front - so you can work the whole day in Word without noticing that you have a new mail.

Is there a workaround?

  1. The language of iNotes is now determined by the browser´s preferred language. If you have e. g. a dutch user, who wants to work with iNotes on the computer of a french colleague, he has to re-configure the browser.

Is there a way to get back the old functionallity - the language of the template determines the language used in iNotes - or do I have to make handouts for (we have currently 5 languages in use) each language and browser-version to tell the user how to switch the preferred language?

Subject: For #1

The new Div dialogs give us the ability to not use pop-ups. Pop-ups were a major issue for many many customers. Div’s are part of the web page not a pop-up. So we went with Div’s in 8.5. This means yes the new mail alert is only on the page not the top most window. We got many complaints on this too. For 8.5.1 we have a compromise of a script alert that will pop up as the top window and take you to the dialog.

Subject: Thank you for your reponse. But I don´t understand.

If you are working only with iNotes you should make preperations to avoid blocking those popups - you also have to accept javascript and cookies?!

Our users want to be informed if they get a new mail - so a “real” popup is (like in a full client) the only way.

If you now go for a compromise and make a popup with a script alert …

Besides the new “popup” isn´t working. If you click on actualize nothing happens - it´s like clicking on OK.

Subject: Alternate fix

If it could even flash on the task bar like it used too, that would be an acceptable fix for me.
