INotes on multiple servers, java issues

Here is a weird scenario. We have 4 mail servers. We use the domino redirect mail file to have a single sign in point, and the user is redirected to their correct mail server. All servers load up the 6.0 INOTES version of their mail files, except for one mail server. It is trying to load up webmail, and on top of that, the action(menu) bars are not showing up. I have checked the server documents of one that works, and the one that does not, and do not see anything different. I checked some of the configuration document, specifically the INOTES tab, and they looked the same. I can load up the correct inotes version of peoples mail from my desktop that point to the ‘working’ server, but from the same pc, I cannot get the INotes to show up from a different server. This is for all users, not just one specific user.

Has this happened to anyone else? Where can I look to see if there are some other settings that may not be incorrect? Any INI changes possibly? Right now we are digging through any kind of server type documents in the Domino Directory database (NAB).

Any help would be appreciated.

Subject: One of a couple of things

  1. Make sure that the template that the mail files are using on that server is the inotes6 template

  2. Make sure that the URL being generated for that server doesn’t include &ui=webmail

  3. Make sure that iNotes\forms6.ntf exists on that server and isn’t messed up in any way

Those are the most likely culprits.

Good luck,

Rob

Subject: RE: One of a couple of things

  1. Definately doing that. 2. The url is generated from the domino redirection, and is pointing to the right place.

  2. I think you hit it on the head with this one, we cannot see that folder through notes, but can through explorer. So I think this is the culprit, so we are trying to find out why we cannot see this folder.

Thanks for your help, it was invaluable.
