OK… so we have two errors here in iNotes. They existed in 8.5, but since they have not been fixed in 8.5.1 I figured to post.
First error is the intermittent failure of iNotes to allow a user to save edits to a received e-mail. For example, a user get’s an e-mail, and they edit the subject of that received e-mail in order to add text for reference. Most of the time it saves. Sometimes it does not. When it fails to save then the browser (both IE8 and Firefox 3.5.x) require restarting to allow pretty much anything to happen.
Most of the time the status bar above the inbox says “Error encountered retrieving data: syntax error”. If this message occurs then usually you can keep working.
Note the status error happens a LOT whenever sending, saving or filing. Again, the operation takes place; but we have no idea if the error is a problem.
