iNotes Issue

  1. What type of ACL is recommended for iNotes and Home server. We have given Editor access to both the servers on each other but iNotes server does not have DELTE rights on Home server. I sthis Normal ?

  2. I have Manager access on both the replicas. If I replicate mailfile manually from notes client then even if the server does not have rights to delete will it go ahead and delete docs on oither server ?

Hi Ash,

  1. If your iNotes server does not have delete rights on the Home server then any documents that were deleted on the iNotes replica will not be deleted on the Home server and the replicas will be out of sync.

  2. If you manually sync with your Home server you will also have to manually sync with the iNotes server in order to maintain a synchronised database.

This is counter productive and a waste of your time.

Merely granting the servers the correct level of access will resolve the issue; i.e Editor with Delete rights.
