Hi,
we want to deploy DWA-(INotes) to our users. One of our tests is related to the cache management (Scrubbing process after a logout). In our tests, the cache is not completly emptied.
We have put the Notes.ini inotes_WA_LogoutScrubType equals to 5.
The browser cache management option is enabled AND installed on our tests’s computers.
From a technote:
When utilizing the DWA ActiveX control, opened attachments are stored within a subdirectory, named “Domino Web Access”, off the user’s indows temporary directory. When the user clicks the “Logout” operation, one of the steps taken is that the ActiveX control deletes the temp “Domino Web Access” subdirectory and any files within this subdirectory.
It’s ok for this process.
But we have found that other directories are created in C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5
Those directories don’t get completly deleted when we logout. If we open an attachment, we will have files named : file[1].gif or file[2].doc
With a logout, the “Domino Web Access” folder will be deleted but i will still be able to launch the documents named file[1].
Is this normal? Is their a workaround?
From IE, i’ve checked this parameters. It’s working but I cannot ensure that all my computers will have this setting.
