The 8.5.1 Lotus iNotes common forms database (inotes\forms85.nsf) doesn’t have the customization forms/subforms (custom_js_lite, scene_action_lite, etc.). Was this an oversite? Can I just copy the ones from 8.5?

Starting in 8.5.1, all the customization forms are in a new file called the extension forms file, which you create from a supplied template. Instructions on creating the extension forms file are in the iNotes Administrator documentation. The topic can be found in Domino and Notes info center here.
