Inotes and Sametime

Hello,

We have a sametime community cluster, which is currently running Sametime 7.5.1. Domino 7.0.1. We have set up a new Domino 8.5.1 server which we are using to do some testing on inotes and sametime awareness. My mail file is located on the Notes 8 server and the cluster is giving me sametime awareness when logged in via the Notes 8.5.1 client. However, when I log into inotes the sametime icon in inotes is coming up, but I am unable to log into it at all. When I click on it, it just does nothing.

Here is a sample of the inotes console log:

I am very unsure as to what is happening. On one hand the above is saying I am active. But I can’t seem to log in.

So far I have checked out SSO, and it seems OK. The sametime server is using the Web SSO document, which is called LATP Token, and the inotes server is listed in this. However, the inotes server is not using that Web SSO document, that server is using an Internet Site document. Could this be the problem? Is there are way around this if so??

The configuration in the config document for the Notes 8 mail server seems ok based on installation and admin documents I have been reading through.

Anyway suggestions welcome!

Subject: all servers need to share the same LTPA keys

LTPA cryptography requires one set of keys to be shared across all the various participating SSO servers. Based on the output in your post, I’m guessing that you are using Websphere format SSO keys, which are imported from file into the server SSO configuration document. The Sametime 7x server does not support Internet sites, but the SSO could still work if the Sametime web configuration SSO document has imported the same SSO keys as has been imported into the Internet site SSO document in use by iNotes.

hope this helps,

Subject: Got it working!

Thanks for your post Jane.

In the end I got to the point where I could confirm the stlinks were working, SSO was working, but it seemed that what was passing to LDAP was incorrect.

If you check out my other post, it will give you further details as to how I fixed this problem in the end.

Hope this helps other in the future!
