Have a real problem with iNote (inotes5.ntf) on Domino 6.5.2
When a user first goes to the Welcome page, the fetching files message can take up to 5 minutes!!
If the user cancels and refreshes the Web Page, it’s there in a flash.
The majority of users workstations are 2000 running IE 6.0 SP1 with all the latest security hot fixes.
There are some Win95 users running IE 5.5 and they’re also experiencing problems.
Have got users to delete all cookies, all offline content, all downloaded classes.
Have disabled GZIP.
Is there a hotfix from Microsoft that may fix IE? Thinking the issue is with XML, but I could be right off track.
Users are not very happy and think release 6.5.2 is cr*p.
Approx 400 Concurrent users on a Dell Server with Dual PIII 1Ghz CPUs with 3Gb RAM.
Server is just ticking over, no stress what so ever.
Didn’t have this issue with R5, and the upgrade was based on IBM/Lotus saying the latest and greatest would be bigger and better.
At the moment Management are thinking of throwing out Domino all together.
Please let me know if anyone else has managed to solve this issue?
