In the last half year have the my Domino servers been running on AIX and users have been able to log on to iNotes/DWA with e.g. Netscape, Mozilla or Firefox.
The servers have now been upgraded to 653pf1 and the use of above browsers are not possible anylonger… The common thing for all the browsers is that the release/stamp is “Netscape 5.0”.
I have read several threads saying there is a difference when using inotes6.ntf and inotes60.ntf where inotes6 is the recommended one - the one which I am using.
A strange thing is that I have the same system configured on a windows 2000 machine, same release, fp1, hotfix and language pack and here there is no problems entering DWA with mentioned browsers. For this reason did I try to copy the templates from AIX to Windows and update the design but Windows is still able to server the DWA - for me this looks like that the problem is not located in the templates but somewhere else (but dont know where…).
Has anybody seen similar problem?
Where can the problem be when it is not in the template (or is it in the template?)
Can I change the template not to make this browser check?
And isn’t a bit embarrassing that the only supported Netscape browser on Windows is 4.7.x… Do we see a lot of money from MS or is simple because they are not able to fix the problem…
Hope somebody has ideas on how I can give my users access with Moz.

I get the same thing on iSeries. I am guessing it has something to do with the files stored in the server’s \data\inotes\ folder, and that is definitely not something I am going to mess with.

By looking at the release note i find that only IE is supported. A shame I think
