We have inherited a strange problem in our new R6 server environment. If I replace the design of a mail file with the new iNotes60.ntf, the user can then view thru the browser as normal. However, when the user does a “Mark All Read” (such as when you migrate a mail file and it puts some documents backs as unread) in his inbox, he then can delete one document out of his inbox, and then when he does a refresh - the whole of his inbox documents appear in the trash!!! This only happens if he marks them all read first. I’ve recreated this on my test server.
I’ve seen strange problems with regard to iWA ‘mark’ and ‘delete’ combinations. Sometimes, after you do certain things with ‘mark’, the ‘delete’ does not even do a thing!

No worries guys, thanks for agreeing!! I was hoping (sorry!) that others had this problem. now I know it’s a problem with the template rather than anything we’ve done.
Subject: Delete one mail in inotes and all mail is deleted (possible work around)
We have had this problem,People have been saying they delete one email and all email in the inbox goes, (only under inotes6)
This seems to relate to the advanced function “soft delete“ It seems that when soft delete is switched on there are some very strange side effects, when you use the “mark all read” action
Side effects seem to be:
If you mark all documents read and try to delete one mail message it will either do nothing at all (will not delete the mail message) or delete all documents in the inbox
If you turn soft delete off the mail file seems to work, as you would expect.

One of our users is having the same issue. It doesn’t happen every time mail is deleted, though - only about once a week or so. I have turned off the soft delete feature and the problem still occurs, you can see the mail being marked for deletion automatically. Has anyone successfully resolved this problem?
