Hi Fellows,
I developed a new database for my organization, my team tested togheter and it was right. But when some users out of my team try to use it, something unusual Happens.
The Problem:
Object Variable not set error raised when a new document is composed.( Default access users)
Reason:
Database profile NotesDocument reference variable is not set when open and postOpen uses it. ( In the code the variable is SET on Initialize block)
Assumptions:
1. ACL - Default access is editor access with full privilegies( - Delete documents) with role [Requester].
2. Database recompiled and no error in libraries where found.
3. It works fine with users in acl.
Tacking the error:
I debuged in a several machines, and in the ones accessing with default access, it seens that no method on document open is call, because Initialize method dosent run. With users in ACL, no error was found, the method initialize runs perfectly.
STRANGE POINT:
When i debug it in users with Default access, the debuger is gray, like if there was no code to be debuged. The Initilize operation is not called....
My feeling(Tracking the problem):
0. First i think that the error was joking on me...Wy some users is ok and others not.
1. Then i felt that the users have to cross certify the server. Not True. No impact, because is only for replicas.
2. Then i think that Authors access was the problem, and put with editor with the same rule. Not True. The error continues.
4. NEED HELPPPPPP!!!!!.....
