It’s only been 8 hours since I’ve been using 8.0.2, but it seems like most of the things I was hoping to be fixed since 8.0.1 haven’t been, including other oddities. I removed 8.0.1 and deleted the Notes installation folder before installing 8.0.2 (standard - notes/designer/admin).
1 - Open database properties in the admin client, and then try to view document properties of an email. The doc properties are visually there, but move your mouse over the dialog and it is the db property fields that show up. Therefore, you can not select the doc properties at all. Have not figured out a way to solve this, short of restarting the client. This makes for an inefficient admin (several restarts/day).
2 - Sametime is still sharing the same thread as the clients. Perform a slow task and you can’t use Sametime until Notes is done.
3 - The Preferences dialog sometimes goes behing the main Notes window a second or two after opening it. At least it is modal, so it comes back when you try to access Notes.
4 - Incoming chats now appear in a version 7 looking chat dialog - chat only, no rich features, tabbed chat, etc). In 8.0.1 they came into the full (embedded) client. I can’t find any preferences to control this. Yes, I installed Sametime option and it works fine from the shelf app for outgoing IMs.
5 - You can RMB to “open in a new window” for a document, but not a database/frameset.
6 - Day at a glace shelf app only shows time in summary mode (the default). Have to uncheck summary (or make it 4 inches wide) in order to see the subject.
I am a romaing user, and have had the same bookmark.nsf since version 6. Could some of this be because of that? Or is 8.0.2 still not a viable Notes 8 upgrade solution? I can’t have 1000 users experiencing these types of issues. Any recommendations/solutions?

Same here… this was uncovered when upgrading to 8.0.2… very annoying.
Once I entered my username and password into the full version and told it to automatically log me in it works. Now the full version logs me in as active when I start Notes, and incoming IMs come into the full client.
Other issues found:
1 - If you RMB an email from an external sender, and go to sender@domain->send-> the “announcement…” and “email…” options are greyed out, but “file…” is enabled. Shouldn’t I be able to send an email but not a file to an external user?
2 - Locations documents used to have a Sametime tab. I have a location that does not log me in with SSO in ver 7 (SametimeLogonWhen = “2”, instead of “0”). The fields are still in the location document, but there is no sametime tab. And because I saved my username & password with the auto login option, it logs me in. So is it no longer possible to control sametime login by location?

Which is how it worked in 8.0.1 also…

Looks like you have some issues with your installation. Our experience with the 8.0.2 upgrade is that we have encountered lots of issues. I will post this in a separate thread.
