When I send an email to info@ourdomain.com, Domino sends me a NDR and it says:
Recipient’s Domino Directory entry does not specify a valid Notes mail file
How exactly can I search in our Domino Directory to figure out WHAT this is referencing? I checked all the Person documents, and no one as info in their username fields. There’s no group by this name.
How do I track this down?
Thank you!
Michael

You could create a view in the directory that sorts by the InternetAddress field, or if you don’t have access to the design, just create a search by field where the value of InternetAddress is info@ourdomain.com

I hope someone sees this, but I just sent an email again to ‘info@blahblah’ and the NDR comes back as showing this:
Your document: Test 2
was not delivered to: Account Info
because: Recipient’s Domino Directory entry does not specify a valid Notes mail file
The key here is that it wasn’t delivered to ‘Account Info’. Now, how do I find that?
Thanks!

Subject: ‘info’ address not unique
Hi Michael,
There is a hidden view called ($Users),
This view is used by the server, to receive mail.
Take a look there if you find the same address appearing twice, or more, than fix the problem.
If you don’t know how to get a hidden view, open you DD, then on the menu
VIEW - GO TO, while pressing CTRL & SHIFT.
Like press CTRL & Shift and with the mouse open the menu VIEW, then choose GO TO.
Hope this will help,
Daniel

Daniel,
Thanks. I found one or two odd occurrences of ‘info’ in the $Users view. After removing them, I still get the same NDR when emailing info@ourdomain.com.
Any other suggestions on where this stubborn item is?
Thanks!
Michael

Do you have any other addresses that end in something like XXX.info@yourdomain.com?
Subject: RE: ‘info’ address not unique
Not that I can see. I already clicked on every view and did a Find for ‘info’ and I haven’t found anything else.
I wish I could solve this one…

So, to take this a step back. You have a mail-in database (?) with the internet address info@yourdomain.com and the mail isn’t getting to it?
Subject: RE: ‘info’ address not unique
No, I have some ‘item’ in my PAB that has ‘info’ in it somwhere, but I can NOT find it. When I send an email to info@ourdomainname.com, it says the object does not have a valid mailfile specified.
I literally can’t find the info entry. I searched for ‘info’ in all our mail-to’s and nothing comes back.
