Index.html not working as home page in web configuration document

I have created a Virtual Server Document under Web Configuration. I have put the index.html as the default home page, left the Home URL blank, and put in the path to the html files under the HTML directory. I restart the http service but just get the domino splash screen.

This works fine in R5.0.11, but doesnt seem to work in R6.0.3. Any advice to getting this working?

both references to the index should read index.html
