Index doesn't work when access from cd-rom

I have copied a mail database with its .ft folder on a CD-ROM. When I try to use the “Search In View” the index doesn’t works. It doesn’t find anything. However the database seems to be indexed.

I follow this step to create the index:

Does this function works in R6?
