Incoming email being forwarded

When someone sends an email from the Internet to specificuser@ourdomainname.com, (which we don’t have a valid user attached to) I watch and see our Router forward it to one of our client’s email addresses. I have NO idea why this is happening.

I opened names.nsf and chose Database, Go To, and opened the $Users view. I searched for the original email address, and the domain name of where the email is being forwarded to. It found no results. How can I determine WHERE /WHY this forward is taking place?

Thank you!

Michael

Subject: I’d deny such emails to begin with.

Why would you want to accept incoming email for non valid addresses anyway? I’d enable the option 'verify if local recipient exists" in the server configuration document of the Domino Directory, on the SMTP inbound controls tab.

The user may have created an agent from his client to forward it

Like Gail said, an agent or a mail rule.

Is the mail really forwarded

IS it a spam?
