Including Button in email body by using Lotus Script?

I found this previous thread stating it wasn’t possible ==>

Has this possibly changed with Lotus Notes 7, or someone has found a way to do it?

I’ve done the appending of a button from another rich text document before, but with my latest project I would like to modify the code of the button.

i have a button in a profile doc, that we use to send out in emails. i just create an email and attach that richtext field from the profile like below. i can just pull up the profile anytime and pull out the button, modify the code, then place it back, then save in the richtext field on the profile.

Dim profiledoc As notesdocument

Dim profile_button As notesrichtextitem

Set profiledoc = db.getprofiledocument(“Profile”)

Set profile_button = profiledoc.getfirstitem(“button”)

Call rtitem.appendrtitem(profile_button)

Thanks Jason for the reply. I too have done the appending of a button from another document. I was just hoping that version 7 had added something.

However, I am having another weird problem when appending my button, any ideas? ==>
