I have some users (not all!) that can’t get their Inbox order to stay sorted the way they want. I checked the all the necessary settings (in preferences and the Notes.ini) and they all look good. Still, the client won’t retain the sort settings. The users in question use local copies of their databases and I replicated new ones down, still the same thing. Maybe I’m missing something in the client?

Subject: I had this in 8.5.1
What I did was a bit “hard”, but I removed the following files with notes client closed (not sure of the exact name sorry):
Workspace.dsk
cache.dsk
bookmark.nsf
And i also remove a whole tree starting with workspace directory. I assume this is used by eclipse to display the workspace.
Then I restarted my client and everything was ok.
I decided to go the “hard” way, because I upgraded my client since version 4.5 and I had some instability with my 8.0.2 client, so I decided 8.5.1 was the good time to start with “fresh” config.
You can try each element one by one to see if one is enough or want to keep for instance your desktop.

Renamed the bookmark.ntf and let Notes create a new one on the next launch. That took care of it, thanks!
