When opne inbox it displays numbers instead of mail, I’ve deleted the cache file and desktop, and the the bookmark but it still doing the same , what am I missing!

The user may have moved / or deleted columns. Go into View / Customize This View… and click on the Defaults button.

I had a user with this problem and this was the solution. Still not certain that he is doing customization other than sorting by date, etc., but at least we can get the view back now.
