Inbound connection controls/inbound relay enforcement

Hi there, I need to restrict the domino SMTP connections to the followings and I need to know where I should put the restriction host list.

I only allow the smtp.externalhost.com and a couple internal smtp hosts to connect to my server. So where I should add the resticted host list.

I tired adding the above hosts to the “allow connection only from the following SMTP internet host/ip addresses” but it doesn’t work as expected. All internal hosts can make connection with the exception of the external host.

Should I use the inbound relay enforcement fields?

Please shed some light. Thanks

Hi, just got the same thing and working… its a little bit of problem. Here what I did:

First read:

This will give you back authentication for users…

Then:

remove all internet site documents relating to smtp (I also removed pop3 documents)

Restart router and smtp and pop

non you get error that there is non internet site configured.

Make smtp and pop3 inet site docs and restart router and smtp

Works fine!
