We set up our website with lotus notes databases. These databases have anonymous access. It works fine but sometimes, the website asks for authentication.
Apparently, we are losing the anonymous access to these databases. It seems to appear after replications. If I restart the HTTP Task, then, everything works.
I checked with “Document locking” but all of our databases don’t have this option checked.
Subject: Re: Anonymous access
I have not come across this problem before.
Is it possible that someone who has authenticated (perhaps reading their mail over HTTP) then goes to the web site? If so they will not be anonymous and the HTTP task will prompt for a password if their current username doesn’t have access granted in the ACL. To prove it you could give the default access level read access (at least temporarily).
Subject: anonymous access
No, it appears even if it’s a new web session.
I thought there’s a relation with manual replications of the databases. Can it block some documents if the documents are in edition during replication ?
But the wired thing is that the problem disappear when you restart the HTTP Task.
