Impossible to create private folders with editor access

Dear colleagues

Please I have one user that has editor access (internal policy) and she is trying to create private folders in her mailfile, but the problem is that in her client is impossible the error message appers informing that the user don´t have rights to do, but if we change the ID files to another workstation the creation is working fine.

Please, anybody knows why this problem is occuring only in her client workstation ??

Thank you in advanced.

Michel

Hi,

You need to ensure that ‘Create personal folder/views’ is checked for the users entry in their mailfile in the ACL.

Hello Ranjan

firstly thanks for anwser my message.

The problem is that ‘Create personal folder/views’ on ACL of the user is selected too.

Do you have another idea ?

Thank you very much

Michel

Sometimes the ACL can become corrupt - remove the user from the ACL from your client, then click ok, then go back to the acl and re-add the user.

Also check to see if the user is on a different replica to the one that you’re checking.

FYI - The “Create Personal Folders/Views” only controls whether the element’s design is stored in the mail file on the server or in the user’s desktop file. If the option is deselected you can still create the private element but they are stored in the user’s desktop file. Try it!
