we recently acquired a company that runs domino 7.2 on win 2003 server.
We are running domino 8.1 on AIX 5.3.
My task is to move the users from the windows server to our AIX server with thier mail files.
The reasons for migration varies, but mainly the company HQ will be transfered to our HQ & there settings are totally different from ours ( polices and other settings )
I’m not sure where to start from, so any hints/instructions are highly appreciated

We did a migration from our existing domain to a new one to seperate users into a new company. Granted, we had to register all the people in the new domain, but the developer at that time provided the text file information to register everyone such that I didn’t have to register everyone individually. Additionally he was able to replicate the existing file from one domain to the new one, and fixed the ACL such that their new ID could open it.
It wasn’t smooth or pretty, but it did save some time. Of course we were moving FROM a domain we already had access to, to a new domain we created. I don’t know how it would be for you since you are inheriting the domain (company) and may not have admin access as needed yet.
Still today I have to manually move someone between domains (essentially to the other ‘company’). As the Admin on both, I am able to register the user in the new domain, open their mail file in the existing domain and create a replica to the new domain (after I fix the ACL). Once the user is up on the new domain, they still have all their mail (except those that were encrypted to their previous ID).
