Importing an ics/vcs file brings up a dialog box with 3 check boxes: Mark Private, Notify, Mark Available.
By default (perhaps it’s my settings), only the Notify box is checked. It looks like it does NOT respect any VALARM or TRANSP attributes set in the ics/vcs file. Ideally, if TRANSP:TRANSPARENT, it would check the Mark Available box automatically. Am I missing something, or is this not supported?
Subject: Working as designed
although not all of us agree that its the best design. The original import code was meant to allow importing of iCalendar data but someone made a decision to not import it as workflow which meant it stripped off ‘personal’ settings (eg: Alarms) that users normally set.
This is not always the most desirable and we would like to change it but no promises on if/when that may happen.
