Import Excel Rows in Lotus Notes

Hi All,

I am importing the values from the Excel to as a notes document. But the problem is that the language used in the excel is not getting recognized by notes document and it is replacing the value with “?” symbol. Can some one please help me out in this.

Example of the entry in Excel is given below

try to add cyrilic in your regional option (Control Panel->Regional Options) there is a one field “Language settings for the system”… probably you OS just does not recognize the Russian language.

I tried your suggestion but still I am not getting the values as it is entered in the excel. Still the documents created are having the values in the form "??? ???.’ I am not sure where I am going wrong. Kindly suggest…

Try setting Import/Export characters to Unicode or UTF-8 or some other general format:

File | Preferences | User Preferences | International | Import/Export characters

Hi Darina,

I tried your suggestion, but Still when I am importing the data from excel to notes its creating the document but again the field values are displayed as “???”.

Where as if I am importing the document created in english it is populating the value in correct form.

Please suggest.
