A customer receives an external mail with an image embedded. However the image dispalys as a white box with what looks like a drop down in the top left corner - its not a drop down. Messages appear in the log bar along the lines of Optimizing XX image colors (XX is the number of image colors) … Symptoms are described here;

Just realised that the images are being attached as .gifs at the bottom of the page. Could it just be due to the fact that they have been created too large for the page to display in Notes?

Thanks, but the preview pane isn’t displayed on either machine (have tried it on his, and mine) so I don’t think this is it. Having messed about with the scaling of the picture in an attempt to resolve it, it has completley removed the image so now I’m stuck without an example to work on, until the next one of course.
