When we receive extrenal mail via a pop3 account which is send in HTML we often do not see the images. JPG and GIF is OK but BMP and images that are stored on an internetserver are not shown. We want to make NOTES our standard mailclient also. As long as the mail is not displayed in the same way OUTLOOK does this we can’t continue.

May be someone from Lotus solve this VERY BIG PROBLEM

Try defining the proxy server in your Notes clients (in the location document). If the Notes client can’t access the internet, it can’t download the images …
cheers,
Tom
Subject: RE: images not displayed in html mail
It works when e-mail contains links to images and user uses proxy server to connect to Internet, not when e-mail include images
Subject: RE: images not displayed in html mail
You have to change the person documents, Format preference for incoming mail:
to be “Keep in senders format”.
If it’s set to be “Prefers Notes Richtext” the html formatted messages will be converted to Notes Richtext.
