We are saving jpg files to a richtext field, because richtext allows the user to browse to the image file and upload it to the form. Whenever I come back to edit the document and save it, the picture loses resolution quality and drags down a few pixels so that a black bar line forms across the top of the image. Save it enough times, and the black line becomes thick and the image very poor. Any solutions to preventing this entropy?
Please provide details. Is this a Notes client or web application? How did you put the images into the document? If you say “we upload them” I will send someone to shoot you. Step by step, keystroke by keystroke, what do you do? Are the rich text fields stored as rich text or MIME? How do you know this? If it’s a client app, do you have the INI setting OptimizeImagePasteSize set, and to what value?
