Image ressource and java

Greetings,I’ve got quite a problem and I’m counting that I find some help.

I need to add some graphics to java applet that is embedded into one of my forms. Now, it would be nice if I would get it (some gifs or jpeg) form lotus image ressources.

Is it possible ? The only thing I’m able to do at this moment is to get document that should contain my image …

  db = getContext(s).getDatabase();

  NoteCollection nc = db.createNoteCollection(false);

  nc.selectAllFormatElements(false);

  nc.setSelectImageResources(true);

  nc.buildCollection();

  String s = nc.getFirstNoteID();

  Document d = db.getDocumentByID(s);

Now if I access the field “$TITLE” in d document I can get the name ot the image that is in it (f.e. image.jpg).

From what I can see image is stored in field “$ImageData”.

This is RichTextField. I’ve tried at least dozen ways to access data in this field but my applet still claims its empty …

Maybe somebody knows how to get this image into something recognizable by java (f.e. Image or ImageIcon) ??

I’ll be gratefull for all help.

From Java, you would either need to export the $ImageData to DXL, then decode it (it will be B64 encoded) to get the image, or go with a third party product that would get it for you.
