Sometimes when I receive a message, especially from large suppliers, like IBM or Novell, the email is poorly formated. It shows IMAGE where the image should be located and the text is formated in long skinny columns. There are no images displayed in the email. Is there a setting on the Domino Server or my client that I can change. We are using ETRUST 7 for our anti-virus protection. Thanks for your time.
Subject: Image not dispayed and text columns unformated.
Have you tried setting the “Format preference for incoming mail” field in the person doc to “No Preference”?I used to get mail like that until I changed that field.
Subject: RE: Image not dispayed and text columns unformated.
I have tried changing the "“Format preference for incoming mail” with no success.I am still wondering if it has something to do with the Virus Checker, ETRUST 7.
Subject: RE: Image not dispayed and text columns unformated.
Here’s info re ETrust 6, though I am sure there are updates to fix the issue for 7:

Alternatively, turn off Scanning Incoming & Outgoing Messages (under Message Options) to test. Your HTML emails should be normal again.
