When I go in and out of my mail inbox I get a message “Illegal circular USE: RUN DMC”. Has anyone ever heard of this? If so, how do resolve the problem.

Close all mail and calendar views of your mail file.
Goto workspace → Unstack replica icons → using the mail icon replace template (right click > database > replace design) on your mail file pulling the appropriate template from server (do it for both local and server relicas).
