IIS & Domino.....joy

I have come across this topic a lot on the forum since things are usually covered many times over but in this case I’m just still not getting it. Domino site with IIS front end. I got it working BUT…

First. My server is working and has been for a couple years now. That in itself was a horrifying experience but this forum helped me get through things such as configuring the Websphere plugin…

My problem is I’m having to use a blank HTML file to redirect visitors to a Domino form homepage.

I have a file in the data directory “welcome.htm” that simply redirects visitors to my homepage which happens to be a form in a Domino database. Silly but whenever I put “homepage.nsf/index?openform” in the documents section of IIS it craps out or worse yet prompts the visitor to save my database (homepage.nsf) to their harddrive…Scary stuff! The local file path is set to my data directory where this database can be found.

I came across a posting referring to configuring ISAPI filters and extensions which sounded promising since I suspect no one outside the Domino realm knows what the hell “.NSF” is.

So my question (sorry for the rant) is - Is the missing piece for me making this work, without total rig job, this ISAPI Filters and Extension piece??? If so any insight or pointers in the right direction would be great.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. And to Lotus(IBM) please make this easier on us!
