IE Web Agent

Hi,

Could someone please assist with this issue. I have a web application that allows the deletion of attachments. I am using javascript to call the agent. The lotusscript agent, parses the query_string, deletes the attachment and reopens the doc.

My problem is with IE6. It opens the URL with the agent string and parameters and gives the dreaded 500 error. I have changed the Print statement in Lotusscript, but cannot get IE to cooperate. Please help.

Here is the javascript call:

var string=“fName=”+fName+“&UNID=”+ document.forms[0].sUNID.value;

window.location.href="./delAttach?OpenAgent&"+string;

Here is the agent print statement:

address=“http://******.com/” & db.FileName & “/wall/” & UNID & “?Editdocument”

Print “[”+address+“]”

Also tried:

Print {}

Print {window.open('/}+db.FilePath +{/wall/} + UNID + {?editdocument');}

Print {</script>}

Same result.

In IE the result is :

http://.com/.nsf/07cfbc417acb8e9a852571f100483f91/delAttach?OpenAgent&fName=setup.log&UNID=64CA9460CBC789F2852572030004B11E

In Firefox it works like a charm!

Subject: IE Web Agent-Solved

Hi,

I managed to get the call to the agent to work by specifying the full url. IE seems to understand that better…???

window.location=“http://.com/.nsf/delAttach?OpenAgent&”+string;

Hi,

url should be unique in each time u edit the same document.

so u can use

dim t as variant

t = evaluate|@unique|

add this t with your url as

address=“http://******.com/” & db.FileName & “/wall/” & UNID & “?Editdocument&” & t

Print “[”+address+“]”

Now your url will be unique each time u call the agent.

To edit the same document in IE URL should be unique.

Thank you for the response.That is a great tip! However, it does not seem to be the case here.

It seems like IE does not like the call to the agent. I have tried using window.open, but the result remains the same.

The browser opens with the full URL and arguments passed to the agent.

Any ideas?
