when I recently enabled ID recovery in a R6 environment all user IDs were automatically backed up to my mail-in database - without exporting (sending mail) to users.
However in a mixed R5/R6 this does not happen.
Are there any specific things to observe in a mixed environment?

An R6 client will automatically download recovery information from its home server, but only if the home server is also R6 and the admin client that was used to modify the recovery information in the certifier was also R6. Any R5 clients will need to be updated using the R5 mechanism – that being the “Export Recovery Information…”.
