ID Handling: "Server entry not found in index" prior "Choose User ID to Switch to"

When an ID file is moved away from the location it was used by Notes the last time, an error message “Server entry not found in index” is shown the next time Notes is started.After that the dialog “Choose User ID to Switch To” is shown.

I think the “Server entry not found in index” message should not be presented to the user as in previous versions of Lotus Notes.

When one chooses “Cancel” in the “Choose User ID to Switch To” dialog and “Exit Notes” in the next dialog Lotus Notes is closed.

But when Lotus Notes is started once again, Lotus Notes is started without asking for the ID file anymore.

It asked to choose an ID file if you choose for instance File/Security/User Security.

But if you try to establish a server connection - via Ctrl-O - and select a server, the error message “The requested item does not exist” pops up.

Do you have an ID vault configured in your test organization? Does this user’s security policy settings indicate that their ID file should be stored in a vault?

Does this user’s ID file exist in the ID vault?

This is the debug.log when the error occured:

First, the error message “Entry not found in index” appeared, right after Notes had been started.

When I’d tried to access the server using Ctrl-O, the error “The requested item does not exist”

appeared.
